$ diode --bench
open-file benchmark
How fast diode opens a file, measured weekly on CI (GitHub Actions, shared runner) and stored in the
bench-data branch.
The headline is our milliseconds: time to the first frame with the file's text minus the Node floor
(node -e "" spawned the same way, through a PTY). Method and columns:

Latest run — from the floor
Medians over runs. above binary also subtracts diode --version, i.e. the SEA bundle parse.
IQR is the interquartile range; a row is marked noisy when IQR exceeds 20 % of the median.
Latest run — key latency after opening
From the key hitting the PTY to the frame where the change is visible, median ms. Caret in the middle of the file.
Startup ladder (white box: performance.mark inside the process, median ms from spawn)
